Quick and Easy Vitamin C Banger

Vitamin C is integral to great health, including your teeth!! Without it, your teeth will become dull and yellow looking. Its also important in bone building and great looking skin!! Here's a recipe for a great smoothie to get your all the vitamin C, omega fats and even your natural probiotics everyday. Not to mention great immune system boosting with the organic ginger! Try this recipe and vary it with different frozen organic fruits for a different flavour...while your juicer is out and before you juice your veggies, juice a whole bag of organic gala apples to keep in the fridge for a refreshing quick drink, or to add to this smoothie. 

 

1 cup roughly chopped kale leaves, stems removed

1 cup organic, baby spinach

1 cup frozen mango

1/2 cup organic apple juice (freshly juiced if possible)

1/2 cup of blueberries

1 ripe banana

1/2 ripe avacado

2 tsp freshly grated organic ginger

1 cup cold filtered water

2 tbsp organic kefir

1 slice lemon for garnish (optional)

 

Directions

In a blender, add kale, spinach, frozen mango, apple juice, blueberries, banana, avocado, and ginger. Top with 1 cup of water ( or to the consistency that you like). Blend on low until pureed and then on high for 3-4 minutes until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and garnish with lemon. Enjoy!
